Project
This project was part of my ongoing personal studies to refine my Blender workflow and push my hard-surface modeling skills further.
I wanted to create a realistic weapon asset from scratch — focusing on precision modeling, material definition, and lighting setup. The goal was to match the look and feel of a modern game prop while keeping the mesh optimized and clean for real-time rendering.

Process
The workflow included detailed modeling and retopology in Blender, UV unwrapping, and PBR texturing in Substance Painter.
I paid particular attention to small surface variations, edge wear, and material breakup to make the weapon feel used but not overdone. Lighting and composition were built to highlight metal roughness, reflections, and surface depth without relying on heavy post-processing.
What I learned
This project taught me how much realism depends on precision — clean geometry, balanced materials, and controlled lighting.
